Why do parents choose School of the Nations?

International education rooted in Macau

Founded in Macau in 1988, SON offers an education taught primarily in English, with a strong emphasis on Mandarin. Students can continue through secondary school to Cambridge IGCSE examinations and the IB Diploma.

Strong learning and independent thought

SON sets high expectations across a broad curriculum. Teachers encourage students to ask questions, discuss ideas and explain their reasoning, developing a command of what they study and the confidence to form considered views of their own.

Character and service in the curriculum

SON develops character alongside academic learning. Students explore qualities such as truthfulness and cooperation, reflect on their choices and consider their responsibilities to others. The school aims to help them develop their abilities and use them in service to their community.

For the interview, there is little your child needs to prepare for. It simply gives us a chance to meet them, see how they engage in activities and understand their previous learning.
