Two plays were performed in the same evening for the first time on
March 17th, 2007, at the Macau Cultural Centre.
Sunday Costs Five Pesos!
A hilarious comedy of small town life in Mexico. The play is based on
an old Mexican law enforced in many of the small villages. No one knows
the reason for its existence, but it states "A woman who starts a
fight on Sunday must pay a fine of five Pesos." As a result, fighting
is generally held over for week days. When Betra suspects that Fidel has
been flirting with Celestina, she is very upset! What happens next is a
series of events that far exceed what anyone could have hoped for in a
Sunday afternoon.
DIG IT!
Travel back in time and join inquisitive archeologists. Taki
and Tut, as they explore the wonders of ancient civilization. From the
farm laborers of early Mesopotamia and Egyptian mummies who 'rap' to a
chorus of ancient Greeks and Romulus and Remus who dream of building a
great city, you will enjoy discovering archeological mysteries of the
past. Students enjoy bringing their history and social studies lessons to
life.
